Differentiation
One reading. Three levels. One printout.
Mixed-ability class? Make a support, on-level and stretch version of the same reading, each with its own questions, so everyone works on the same idea at the right difficulty.
What changes between levels
- Support: shorter sentences, simpler vocabulary, key terms explained in a glossary
- On-level: the reading and questions as planned
- Stretch: richer vocabulary and more demanding questions
- Optional: a side-by-side bilingual version for English learners
Your class profile does the work
Each TwoTick class remembers its grade, reading range and how many students need extra support. You don't retype "Grade 8, 3 EAL learners" every time; the levels are set from the class.
Questions
Do the levels cover the same content?
Yes. All three are built from the same material, so you can teach and discuss it as one class.
Does it work for any subject?
Yes, any secondary subject. Differentiated versions work best with reading-heavy material; for maths, ask for easier and harder practice in the instructions.
