TwoTick

Quiz from PDF

Turn any PDF into a quiz about what's actually in it

Upload the chapter, article or handout you're teaching. TwoTick writes questions from that text only, checks the answer key, and lays it out ready to print.

How it works

  1. 1Upload a PDF (or Word file, or slides). Scanned pages need selectable text.
  2. 2Choose how many questions and which types: multiple choice, true/false, short answer, matching, fill in the blank.
  3. 3Before you see it, a second AI from a different model family answers every question without the key. Disagreements and double answers are flagged so you can fix them in one click.
  4. 4Export a print-ready PDF or an editable Word file, with the answer key on its own page.

Why a quiz from your PDF beats one from a topic

When you ask a chatbot for "a quiz on photosynthesis", it writes from its general idea of the topic. You get questions about things you never taught, at a level that may not fit your class.

Starting from your own PDF keeps every question inside the material your students actually read. If you paste the reading into the checker too, it also flags answers the text doesn't support.

What you get

  • Questions ordered from easier to harder
  • Plausible distractors, not joke options
  • A separate answer key page
  • Version A and a shuffled version B, each with its own key

Questions

How long can the PDF be?
The free tool uses the first 6,000 characters (about two pages). Inside a free account you can upload files up to 20 MB and pick the part you want.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Only if the text is selectable. If you can't highlight words in the PDF, it's an image; run it through your scanner's text recognition first.
Is my file stored?
Not by the free tool: it reads the text and sends it back to your browser. In an account, files are saved privately to your class so you can reuse them.

Try it on tomorrow's lesson.
